lac - harbor freight hydraulic jack

thanks larry. i can't seem to bleed it out properly. the instructions are
REALLY bad and mix up the oil plug / bleed valve with the 'relief vavle'
that hte jack is marked 'DO NOT ADJUST'. uhm......

do you mind sending me your bleed procedure? i did add some hydraulic jack
oil, and tried several times to bleed it, but the saddle won't lift until
mid-stroke, and then won't extend fully.

as for bleeding, i'm opening the bleed screw [thumb valve], handle spun left
to lower saddle, pump several times, tighten bleed valve, tighten handle [to
lift].

fwiw i also rolled the dice on their 12$ torque wrench and i have to say
it's not too bad. despite being all metal it looks / feels a bit cheesy, and
the adjustment handle / lock mechanism is pretty roughly made, but using it,
the action is quite nice. if you want to check it out, ace hardware sells
the exact same one for ~45$ under their house brand.

thanks again,
jim
