200TQ 70mA battery drain

Kurt,

Quite some time ago I had a drain type issue on my 90 200 Tq. Initially the
battery would be low from time to time. all cabling was good, charging
system was good, battery was good!

The time to time drain started to become all the time dead. Battery would be
dead overnight! Finally pulled it in the garage and put the dig meter on it.
Unplugged fuses, infrared thermometer on relays looking for heat, etc etc.
NADA!


Very small and acceptable draw, nothing that would drain the battery!
Decided to leave it on overnight.... Couple hours later
went back to the garage, just as I looked at the meter the draw increased.
Long story short, door lock heaters were turning on randomly. Either the
controller or micro switch were defunct! door lock was blazing hot.... ended
up disconnecting the circuit with every intent to repair, but since passed
the car to my son..

don't remember the current draw, but don't believe door lock circuit should
draw anything once handles released, etc...
