It may not be the switch. Mine turns itself on in air temperatures above 55 - 60 degrees. Now that cold temperatures are here the diff lock never comes on. Wish I could help more. I'll be trying to trouble shoot mine in the spring. Mine is a '93 100 CSQ avant with 172k miles.

It's time for new pads on the passat and I as I was looking for pads, there is a "pad with sensor" and a "pad without sensor". I'm not sure what I need? It's a 2000 VW Passat 4Motion.
Thanks,
Steve

OK, I have a coolant temperature gauge issue. Car is a 98 A4 with a 2.8 30
valve. The temperature gauge is buried at cold, however in stop/go it will
move up eventually to normal. This past summer (first one with the car), it
went to normal and no overheating. I get heat without a problem. Sender
was replaced, could it be the thermostat? How difficult?
Thanks

Hello All,
My rear diff lock has started turning it self on, it seems to happen after
stopping and reversing. I spilled coffee on the switch for about the 100th
time, does it need to be cleaned out or is there a short in there. I don't
really need the diff lock very often, if ever.
Thanks,
~Chris
