It came with the car, at a price I couldn't pass on. But with a
potential commute into suburban Boston and it's miles of traffic jams,
the Tiptronic will be a good thing. If I want to shift manually, I'll
take the bike and use my toes. :)

Thank you all for your well wishes.  With any new relationship, you
expect nothing but the best.  I hope this one gives me no problems. But
I know better.  At least I hope it gives me a few months of pleasure
before the bad sets in.
