Heads, blocks, and turbos

It dawned on me the I5 motors seem to be pretty similar. Even the Ur
S4/S6 motors are the same bore, stroke, and displacement as the JT
motor in my 85 4kq. I'm guessing the CIS-E on the JT required the low
compression, but that usually means the motor is a great candidate for
being turbo'ed.

I'm wondering just how similar the I5s are. Obviously there are
differences like the piston rods, CIS vs EFI and such, but there are
also numerous after market options. Do the oil passages and bolt
patterns for the various heads, intakes, exhaust manifolds and blocks
match up? Can I throw a 20v head with an 034 EFI system and an
exhaust manifold and turbo from a 10vt on the JT and call it good?
(till I blow it up of course ;-)

Anyone have some advice for Frankensteining these motors? As always,
links and tech articles are great.

Thanks again,
Rory
