Need ideas Removing crank and Cam seals without Audi tool

Depending on the thickness of the seal, I like to drill small holes
180 degrees apart on the seal and run sheet meal screws in the holes
and pull out with two vise grips. Iusually grease the drill bit so
the shavings(either rubber or metal)cling to the bit instead
of getting where they don't belong. Having an assistant with a
vacuum cleaner nozzle in the area will work too.
