2.8L 30V list?

Hi guys,

I belong to a few Audi lists, but today I had a new addition to the family -
a "give me a ticket" red '98 A4 30V 5-spd. I am wondering if there is a good
active list that specializes in those cars or if this is a good place to
post technical questions for it. Any web references would be of much help
too.

To start:

1. I discovered on the test drive that the cruise control is not working -
very frustrating! Is there a troubleshooting write-up someplace?

2. The halogen lights SUCK in comparison with the HID's in my '05. I have
seen other A4's of this vintage list HIDs being installed on the car. Where
can I get a set and what do they run? Can I convert existing bulbs or do the
stock reflectors scatter the beam too much?

3. The back end of the car is just missing something... Is it possible to
obtain the "bump" trunk spoiler that came with the "sport package" on the
newer years? They don't seem that complicated or pricey-looking.

4. The e-brake handle on the car is really worn-looking for some reason.
Where can I order a replacement from? Nothing flashy - the stock black
leather would be best.

Aside from that, the car is perfect (so far). If I get the above 4 items
taken care of for under $1000, I will be a happy camper!
