That is very respectful, and honestly your reply did bring my level of
respect for you personally up quite a bit. The thing is that you in the past
have outright bad mouthed me and told me that my project would never be a
success unless I did it your way. I didn't do it your way, and I certainly
think a MC-1 10v engine with something in the area of 500hp is not a
failure. I really believe it to be well over that, but the most recent dyno
info I have to back it up with puts me at about 5hp short of 500 - before I
ever touched anything below the head gasket. You told me that I would *never*
make more then 275hp in so many words. To be perfectly honest I have never
forgiven you for that.
Not only that, but I personally talked to Nate on the phone about some of
these issues, and the cars owner talked to both Nate and Christian. I
honestly could have sworn that the owner mentioned he talked to you, but I
can't be sure on that. Every phone call ended with the respective 034 staff
member saying something to the effect of "Push harder", "cut more", or "Well
we have had dozens of people install the same kit - you must be mistaken".
The thing about all of 034's satisfied customers is that you have little to
no real competition. Obviously somebody is going to be satistied if you give
them something they couldn't already have, even if it is not exactly what
they wished. On another mailing list that I subscribe to I have read things
that nobody would dare say here to insult the giant. 034 is indeed better
then nothing, but there is room for improvement. Even some list members here
since I sent my message have e-mailed me off list with some of thier own
comments.
I hope that maybe you can take some of the points I made in my previous
e-mail and work on them. I'd like to inform you of some other issues too,
I'll do so off list.
