Idle stabilisation on CIS-e engines

 Hi gang,

Quick question on the KE jetronic or cis-E as I beleive it is known stateside.

I'm looking (occasionally) at my brothers '89 80 coupe with this system. It has all the lambda control all dpr hallmarks of KE, whilst the ignition system is not integrated - it has a knock sensor and no vacuum advance, but does not use a crank position sensor so still uses a basic setting of the dizzy for static timing.

If that's info enough to start with, can anyone tell me if Idle Stabilisation is done old-style (big relay thingy in the fuse box) or is it handled by ECU. ??

 All suggestions appreciated.

 Cheers Rob.

PS Anyone know if Graham Thackrah is still around? I've lost contact
