90q Radiator Fan always on

Chris,

Does fan run when ign off?

On my sons 88 80Q there was a bad temp sensor located on rear of the valve
cover (rear drivers side). Two leads attach... This temp sensor (believe
similar sensor for 10V turbo for after run cooling) runs fan when engine
temp rises after shut-down. Try disconnecting one of the leads... If fan
stops that would be the culprit. Shouldn't much matter in cooler weather. As
far as summertime it probably isn't much of a issue either, the models with
aux radiators don't seem to run as hot as those without.

Sensor should be powered by a relay also as it's timed shutoff once ign off.

Sensor is easy to get to, regular socket will take it right out.

If you do end up disconnecting a lead ensure you tape it up!

Scott M's site should have info on this. Not specific to the 90, but it's
the same sensor on both models.
