Seeing as it seems to be the guys very first post/auction on eBay, I doubt
it's a hijacked account. He has a zero feedback, which means he hasn't been
there long if at all. 

That doesn't mean it can't be someone trying to commit fraud though. I
imagine he just made a mistake in his listing somehow. Since the email that
is listed in the body of the auction seems to match the username, it doesn't
look so much like someone trying to harvest known good email addresses (get
people to email you, and you know you've got good addresses to spam later).

Hard to tell, but if someone emails him, do it through the eBay system AND
directly using his email link, but use a disposable email account so you
don't start getting spammed (unless you like that sort of thing). Ask him
some questions that only the owner of the car could answer, and try to get
some specific pictures, etc. that only he could take. That should eliminate
any question of whether the car is actually in his possession or not.
