Interesting Thread on Claimed 'Unintended Acceleration'

The old 1980, 4000 1.6L? 4 speed had a cruise issue where it went to full acceleration when set / turned on by the stalk slide switch.? It was ~8 - 10 years old, 100K and for a kid in high school, thought it was pretty cool.

Top speed was 97. Turning off the cruise cured the acceleration issue.? Never found the reason.

On a completely different, yet thinly related issue: an acorn will keep a 3B engine in the 200 20V idleing at ~3000 RPM.
