Also had a 87 5000cs that was chipped. It was indeed "fast", but mid-range
torque was much better than stock. Made for a very responsive ride at
"normal" throttle positions. Fast too, but as a daily driver I didn't use
the "fast" portion that often!

Check out Scott Mockrys site, ("SJM") for common problems and repairs on
these. Relied on his site for several years prior to getting a set of
Bentleys. Scott also provides parts now. You're going to find that normal
parts places and employees don't know squat about these cars, better off
finding someone who is serving the type 44 masses!
