So is there a verdict on rebuilding hydraulic hoses?

funny.. i absolutley would *not* get replacement hoses from audi as the
parts are so unbelievably overpriced. there is nothing special about audi
hydraulic hose that a competent rebuilder hasn't done / seen a zillion
times. most of the rebuidlers work on industrial, aerospace, race, etc hose
applications so our piddly car hoses are childs play.

i've had several hoses rebuilt with good luck on both the 90 and 5k. as with
anything there are good and bad shops and good and bad work quality. if you
cant find anyone locally these  guys in livermore CA do all race
applications: tri valley - livermore - 925 373 7414 and ive heard good

i had my last set on the 90 done by a radiator shop and they kept the noise
restrictor. one of my next a4 projects is to get the PS hoses redone.
