Type-44 cruise control connecting rod

Not a bad idea. It almost looks original. I've ordered the buffer for the v8q.
I'll see how long that lasts. At least I have a few ideas for when it does rot
out... Thanks.

 Ameer - Picture attached.

Not pretty but effective.

I whipped this up in the rain in WV in a Lowes parking lot when the little
plastic piece failed during a trip. That was over 6 years ago.

It is a piece of steel strap used to hang pipes, etc. It already had holes that
contractors drive nails through. I just cut it to length, slipped it onto the
rod and then bent the ends over the mating part on the pneumatic actuator with
a pair of pliers.

Eric

the same thing happened to it. I guess it's just to hot under the hood above
the turbo. The dealer doesn't sell it apart from the entire rod, and that's
about $100. Has anyone out there found a good fix for the rotting rubber
bushing? TIA.
