Type-44 cruise control power problem solved

I just thought I'd pass along the results of debugging my cruise control system:
There was no power going to the control unit with the switch on, but I had just
replaced the column switches, so I knew something else had to be messed up. I
thought it might have been a broken wire, but after tracing the connection I
found that the brass contacts under the shifter were not making good contact.
Even after cleaning them, they still didn't work. I noticed that under the
connectors, there are two screws that allow you to adjust the position of the
brass contact plate. This seems to do the trick. The starter lockout doesn't
always work right in neutral now, but it never did work perfectly, so I'll be
happier with the cruise control working. Hope this is helpful for anyone with
similar issues.
