Well, yeah, they are color coded, and usually impossible to hook up wrong.

Wow, that question bllows my mind, sorry, can't help.  I like "hook up 
battery to starter.  Adjust carb.  Make it run!"  But that's a different 
world...

Maybe, in this computer world, pull codes and reset them?
