Changing the coolant in a 5k is a pita ...

Mr. "Cobram's" analogy seems to sum things up pretty well.

Final thoughts: I find it odd that Audi would choose to
pretend that it's practical to dump all of the coolant by
disconnecting hoses. I asked around the shop the other
day and found that all the techs believed they have been
completely emptying the system by pulling those hoses
or (more typically) by pulling the thermostat. None had ever
made measurements. (You would think they would have
been more curious.) I'm thinking there are a lot of I5
Audis running around with less antifreeze capability than
their owners realize.

Somebody out there must have a really cool way to
power flush the I5's coolant. Please do tell.
