Upon inspection yesterday, I may have found the cause of the rough running issue.  On the rear side of the distributor, the plastic connector is no longer attached to the distributor housing, as the tabs have broken. So, it's just floating around, and after I moved it a bit, the car would not even start.  I'll zip-tie it in place and see if that resolves the problem.
