Brian....arrogant? I'm going to be as polite as possible, Brett, and
consider that an "expert opinion" on the subject.

Brian can, at times, be boastful and maybe occasionally [seem] a bit over
confident. Many, many years ago he actually worked for Dick Shine.....when
the shop was still in Millis, MA. If either of them seem arrogant when it
comes to servicing Audi's & VW's I'd have to say they've earned the right
to. Between the two of them they're responsible for some of the fastest,
most reliable, and consistent Audi & VW racing cars in the region! Through
their myriad racing-customers they've had the opportunity to learn what
does/doesn't work and use that knowledge to service the cars the rest of us
rely on for normal transportation.

I've known both of them for over a quarter century! Currently I'm living in
CT, and don't have either of them service my car, but I'd have no hesitation
whatsoever in referring someone to their shops. If I were still in that
area they'd be the first two places I'd consider for ANY work I didn't
handle myself.

SRS VW (Walpole?) and Krafteworke (http://www.kraftwerke1.com) in
Braintree. Chris specializes in, and is very well respected for,
TDIs-
but he's very much an old hat at anything VW/Audi. He was a pleasure

to work with when my 200q20v needed some work and SRS was booked
solid.

Steer well clear of Brian's Garage. He's extremely arrogant, a
quality I do not find valuable in my doctors or mechanics, for
similar
  reasons.
