Water coming out of thing next to expansion tank

Yes, it should be connected via a long line to the fuel junk on the 
other side of the engine compartment.

That's weird.

And you're *sure* it's coming from the carbon can, and not, perhaps, a 
bad connection at the coolant reservoir or a cracked hose, etc.?
