This can be quite tight. You'll need good fitting ring
spanner/allen key and extensions.
However, you do not need to undo it to remove the
strut. At the top end you only need to undo the 3
mounting nuts in the engine bay.
You only need undo the centre nut to change the shock
absorber or springs (which you can do on the bench
when held firmly in the vice, and with spring
compressors in place). You need the 2069 tool to get
the shock out. If working on the bench you might get
away with stilsons.
You don't say what is wrong with yours but I
personally would not use a strut from a wreck with
unknown history.
Also check the hub type - if different to what you
need then this job is more trouble than it's worth.
Also the hub nut is really tight. I needed an
extension of about 3m to undo mine. The car needs to
be firmly on the ground to safely undo this. This may
not be the case at the yard.
