timing belt - Boston area

I second the recommendation for central service with one provision. Dave is
great wrench and does an excellent job with "standard" repairs and
maintenance. He does not break things, makes sure he puts back what he takes
off, and won't do work that he thinks unnecessary (all seemingly minor
things, until you deal with mechanics  who break, forget and mangle things).
Having said that, he is not  good at diagnostics and trouble-shooting of
strange, curious or difficult problems - he won't run up a bill trying to
solve them (unlike other so called experts), but instead will sort of shrug
his shoulders and say he doesn't know.  For a timing belt, he'd be great.

He's also right next to the commuter rail, so you can take the train into
town after you drop your car off.
