shocks for '97 A6

Looks like my son's C4 A6 with 140K miles needs new shocks. I'm 
thinking of going with Bilsteins. I'd be interested in hearing from 
anyone who's installed Bilsteins on a C4 A6, to learn whether you 
found them too harsh. On my S6, they were fine, but I was looking for 
a firm ride. :)
