95 A6 questions

My '95 A6q sedan has a malfunctioning climate control head.
 
The part number off the bad unit is:  4A0 820 043H  will any 90 /  100 / A6 
climate control unit work from this era, or do I need that specific  part 
number?  If I need that specific part number, can anyone tell me the  years it was 
used -- my car was built in 03/95 and there seems to be a number of  parts 
changes in mid year.
 
Speaking of which, does anyone know the oil filter I should be using?
 
Weight of oil for the 12v (south carolina driving, most likely 60F to 100F  
air temps for the next 6 months)?
 
Does anyone have a paper bentley manual for this vehicle?  The CD  seems 
available, but I have a CD for my 88 80q, and it's a bear to work  with.
 
How about the cam and crank holders for a T-Belt job?
 
Sunroof seal?
 
Oh, and Why didn't anyone tell me what a PITA it is to remove the  alternator 
and starter in this car??  It took me 5 hours to get them  out, and 3 days 
trying to figure out how the hell I can fit the alternator back  in its hole 
without removing water hoses... and I am still working on it.
