Mike,
Ford Taunus? Whoa.....that's a rare bird on this side of the pond!
Although you may be able to get NOS brake cylinders from eBay Germany, (I
searched "Taunus brems*" and got a few listings for rotors, pads and hoses)
I'd be leery about the condition of the rubber seals. Brakes on these old
cars were not stellar compared to today's....you don't need a failure
compounding the problem. You might be able to find an Oldtimer club in
Germany, that may have a cross-reference to something more modern and easily
purchased, or you could try getting the ones on the car redone by White Post
Restorations or a similar company. We have a local company - John Stewart
Power Brake - that does sleeving and seal replacement on old brake system
hydraulic components (I had the master cylinder on the '62 DKW done by
them - they did a good job).
When you get her on the road.....say....you've heard about the May 16-18 GTG
in Carlisle, PA right? There'll be some folks coming from NJ that you could
convoy with.....
Cheers!
