I agree, also. I think automated manuals and automatics are the
furure. However, sign me out NOW! I have driven plenty of both (I'm a
tech) and while I love a DSG equiped 2.0 A3, I don't like the bill
when the trans goes out. I sent one back to the dealership with 26K
not too long ago. Yep, you read that right. When she came back in (we
do the routine service on the car) she said they replaced the trans.
Oh, and F1 and WRC pilots probably don't pay for the maintenance on
their race cars.
