Oh, and F1 and WRC pilots probably don't pay for the maintenance on
their race cars.

This might be more to do with the training regime of the current crop of
drivers.
Ultimately there is no means of fitting a clutch pedal to a Playstation 1 or
2 so "you don't miss what you never had"
