BTW, there is a $1900 income tax credit currently on the Jetta TDI- that
makes it quite a lot more appealing in my eyes.

I don't know if the MBZs have a similar credit or not.

Resale is much, much better on VW diesels vs. the gas models, however.

I'd get the diesel for longevity purposes, reduced carbon footprint, better
range before fillups and to be different. :-)

I'll make up for the carbon footprint when I drive the vette.
