dual -mass flywheel

The dual mass flywheel supposedly makes for a smoother clutch engagement. In
my experiance the effect is minimal. They do fail on occasion and yes they
do generally cost a hefty sum of money. Single mass replacement depends
heavily on the vehicle in question. Vehicles that have a good aftermarket
tuner following generally have a lighter single mass flywheel availible, and
some other vehicles can use stock single mass flywheels from other vehicles
(dual mass 911's can be back-dated).
