Todd,
'86-88 trans from 5000 tq will work fine in '83 UrQ. I don't think that the '91 200 Q
trans will work as they use different final drive ratio. I think the later 4000 Q rear
diff will work with 200 trans since they use same final drive.
Clutch for/TOB are interchangeable AFAIK, although different design is used in the
later.
Your best bet IMO is to use a trans from the '86-88 5000 turbo quttro with 5000 disk and
either 200 flywheell and pressure plate or complete cluthc assembly from the 5000 - Fly,
plate and disk.
I'm sure someone on the list more knowledgable of exact transmissions and differences
can spell out exact differneces and what combinations will interchange. Please verify
any info. I provide, since this is based on recollection. I do know for a fact the '87
5000 trans works great in the '83 UrQ along with 200 flywheel and pressureplate using
200 or 5000 disk as that is what is in my conversion.

Hi all,
quick question. I'm in the process of installing a 3B into an 83 urq and the trans being
used is from an 86 5ktq.
Before putting it together and into the car, I'd like to gather some wisdom from the
group... Are the differences between the cluth fork and throw-out bearing between the 91
200 tranny and the 86 5ktq tranny enough to cause a problem?
Courtesy of one lister, I know there is a difference and that the clutch fork in the 91
200 is exclusive to it and the v8, however the clutch fork in the 86 5ktq is different.
anyone BTDT?
?
Thanks,
?
