200 aqt with a mind of its own ?

It just never seems to end w/this puppy :\
 
Yesterday my wife went to start it and it was dead - battery drained.
When I put the booster on the batt, without the keys in, I noticed the
'auto' light and temperature come on, on the climate control display -
and the fan was on.
 
Drove it a while, battery's back up, everything seems to work properly -
park it. Everything is off. Come back to the car a few minutes later and
viola, fan is on, auto climate is showing temp ???? I can put the thing
in off mode - but I know it still thinks its on...
 
Is this something common? A short providing power to the climate unit?
Something w/the ignition switch?
 
I'll be looking at it tonight after work.
