200 aqt with a mind of its own ?

I'm hopeful - left the car in the garage overnight - viola! All systems
are working properly...I'll keep an eye on it and come back if the
problem persists - I don't suppose anyone reading the list has the
drivers portion of the cover that fits above the fuse box?

That can short a relay +12V (Bosch terminal 30, 87, or 87a) to trigger
(terminal 85/86 on a Bosch Relay)... and power the circuit even with the
ignition power off.
 
Make sure it's fully dry, and test from there.  You've likely found the
issue.
