Speedo Calibration (1993 Audi 100) & Jetta Accident

Does anyone have an exact formula to calibrate the speedo on a 1993 Audi 100?

Mine is apart, just got the itty bitty odo gears at 5 PM.  Reassembly takes place tomorrow.

Yes, I have the +12V bench supplies, audio generator and so on.  

Huw's page says 120 MPH=240 Hz while Palo Alto Speedo says 60 MPH=130 Hz...and I thought the cal would be in a metric range (ie 100 HZ for 100 kM/h) <grin>...

Please advise-there is a little more urgency than expected-I was in a little accident this morning.  A truck driver missed his turn off a local road and didn't see the red Jetta.  He decides to back up/roll back instead and takes out the grill and both head lights.

Funny part is that both 9004 bulbs still work, the A/C still has plenty of R-134A and there was no leaks from the radiator as the car was sitting for an hour waiting for John Law to come and write the accident report...
