I have used the Michelins (Pilot Sport A/S) on my V8 and can say a thing or
two about them:
Hard, not particularly good dry grip AT ALL.
Excellent in snow and rain. Beyond reproach here.
Loud.
Expensive.
Seems they are more designed for the wet and winter situations then dry.
I have also used Dunlops and thought that where OK for the money, but
lackluster in all respects, but cheap.
My brother has the Bridgestones and again nice, but expensive. Wore pretty
fast.
The best tires IMHO or Kumho's ASX's. Cheap, great dry grip and pretty darn
good in the snow. Excellent in the rain. And Cheap!!
I'm not buying in too the "paying more" so I must be getting more way of
thinking anymore as the Michelins cost 2.5 times the Kumhos and where they 2.5
times better? No. Worse in every respect.
Also, I also now have a way of thinking to spend my money with companies
that are into racing-like Kumho, as I like to support companies that support my
hobby.....food for thought if you are into motorsports.
My bro now has some of the Pirelli P-Zero Nero's and they are pretty nice-
maybe less than perfect in snow, but great in the dry/wet.
