Every Audi with the hydraulic PS/PB booster system since 1987 is specified to use the synthetic 11S Pentosin. Some earlier models used a power steering fluid and some used the mineral Pentosin 7 stuff.

i find it a little worrying that a suggested 'solution' for a leaky steering
rack is to buy a cheaper oil so that the leak doesn't cost so much. where do
you suppose all of the fluid leaks TO?

awesome stuff to have in the drinking supply.

a rack is 400$ and a few hours. suck it up and fix it. a puddle under the
front of your car is SO white-trash-chic.
