98 A6 window issue

Any BTDT for a 98 A6 with driver window that will reverse itself on  occasion 
and not go up?
I have removed the door panel and checked the green guides the glass rides  
on and they are in excellent shape. I have repeatedly lubricated the tracks  
thinking the were dry and it was just drag on the system, but no joy.  I just 
sold the car and would like to fix it for the new owner. The rear  windows also 
only function from the driver control. the "baby" lock out switch  lights as 
it should but will not turn the rear switches on and off.
