I recently tried this on a 1994 Jetta 2.O...at 170k it is kinda clicky and the oil
pressure light likes to come on....so changed the oil, then changed it again after 1k,
but before doing so i put a cup of Seafoam in it, and took it for a very modiest drive
(aka grandpa mode). Put thicker 10w30 vs 5w30 oil and a container of STP Engine
Treatment. It is much better, still sounds like a sewing machine though.
I think I will do the same w/ my 1.8t A4 next time, except that car will continue to
get Amsoil 5w40 syn.
