I think it's terrible.

Both the system that is controlled by MMI as well as the one that has the
quasi-MMI in one quadrant of the head unit.

Reason? Because the dial is not a directional joystick- it's nearly
impossible to scroll the map without driving yourself crazy. It's also
difficult to enter destinations because of this.

The touch screen systems and the multi-buttoned systems in cars like the
Infiniti FX or the Garmins are way better.

Heck, I think the system in the Volvo is a little clunky (they use it in
A-Ms as well), but it still works better than the Volvo. My portable Garmin
is definitely the easiest system I've used as of yet.

BTW, I don't like the GM systems very much either, but that's mainly for two
reasons- they don't allow you to do anything while moving and because they
split the map into regions- PA and NJ are different regions, which is a
major PITA- you have to select the proper region for proper guidance.
