V8 Quattro Distributor cap removal

I had a similar problem on the 964. 
If you have screws as opposed to bolts then maybe it's been replaced and the
steel screw has welded itself to the ally dizzy body. 
Try a short, sharp crack with a hammer on the end of the screwdriver

I'll second that. All the one's I've taken off were also 8mm. The Cizzy's
themselves are
10mm, and the rotors are glued on from the factory. If you are replacing
them, usually
they have to be broken off.
