bench test hitachi 20v ecm????

can the ecm be bench tested? my 90q 20v swap has come to a grinding hault...the fuel injectors don't seem to be getting signal. my fear is that i may have fried it. the donor car was half stripped, and i was not familliar with the setup. the wires to the charcoal canister solinoid were cut and routed where the coil wires were on the 10v harness. i didn't even give it any thought as the wires were the same green as the old coil wire...so i hooked them up to my 10v coil.(the car now has the proper coil). the car ran for a few seconds and died. nothing since...not even a cough. i'll buy a new ecm if needed but i need to know. $400+ at shocan is too much for a guess. this project has been going since jan. and i need to figure it out.
