Thanks for the shorter belt info.  Yeah, I'm hoping nothing seized up.
But it's not my first Audi, so I shouldn't be surprised at whatever it
will throw at me. Not that I'll be happy, just not surprised.

Save me the search... Where is the under-hood latch release?
