performance goodies for the '09 A3?

Wild. I drove one of those GTI's (ugly farenheit edition) with DSG and found
it to be a blast... auto blipping downshifts etc. Why the interest in A3
over A4? In the US both are dirt cheap. (I know having bought new in
Canada and US... the price diff is stupid..i can't believe how cheap an A4
is in the US). All this aside, I've put enough profits into VAG with new
vehicles...i'm gong to stick with used ones. Sooooo many people afraid of
Audi's outside warranty which is a good thing for those who wrench (or
aspire to wrench like me).

Definitely a quattro. I might not have the model year correct, but I
do recall hearing that it was one of the very first 4000 quattros
imported or somesuch. There was something unusual about its
circumstances.
I finally found a dealer willing to take me out for an extended test
drive. I've picked up some sense of the car from a few short test
drives, most of which were back when the A3 first came out, but not
much. I did get the sense that the DSG is improved- when I test drove
an A3 3.2 DSG a few years ago, "awkward" was the best way to describe
stop-and-go driving.
