Given the fact the drive-train is overdesigned for the slightly over 100HP
stock motor these cars are pretty bullet proof ... and even with the
comparatively low horsepower I find them a blast to drive. There are signs
that the car may have lived a rough life, so you might want to understand
that as much as possible, but chances are a little bit of cash will bring
the car to good shape. If the car's got less than 200K miles it likely has
the original clutch. One problem area is the wiring loom to the trunk ...
breaking up from 20+ years of trunk use ... fairly easy to fix.

One of the common misconceptions of those not familiar with quattro is "all
wheel drive doesn't work" ... what you are likely seeing is that the
differential lock lights don't come on. Unless you remove drive shafts the
car is always all wheel drive ... and the lights only tell you whether or
not the differentials are locked. Unless you plan to drive on the beaches
in Florida you probably will never need the differential locks. OTOH, A/C
might be useful in FL ... but this should be easily fixed at a A/C repair
shop ...

time I got a ride in one many years later ...

I am trying to decide whether i should put any more money into this
vehicle or whether i should sell it.

Body: Good condition, with a ding in the front right corner light area
Engine: Good condition
Interior Could use some work, instrument panel is not secured onto the
rest of the dash
A/C all wheel drive don't work, and it has a hard time getting into 2nd
gear.
Other then that, i enjoy driving it.

Any thoughts?
