A hall effect sensor is an electronic component that costs a few
dollars tops. It is integrated into a larger part, which Bosch
charges $$ for.

If you can crack open the body of the thing, you'll find a small black
transistor-looking device. That's all that most likely needs
replacement.

They all work in roughly the same way, and if the sensor itself has a
part number on it, you may even be able to find exactly the same
sensor, or a cross-reference, or look up its datasheet and find a
modern equivalent, etc.
