Engine coolant drain plug location on a 30v.

I'm looking for the engine coolant drain plug on my '98 2.8 30v. I think I  
have it located according to the Bently (drivers side, behind sub frame).  
But  from reading other posts I am suppose to be looking for a flush  
mounted 8mm allen head bolt. What I find is a 6mm allen bolt that is recessed  
about 1 1/2" into the block in a oblong hole which also contains some sort of  
gold colored plug with a hole in the middle of it. Mu sub frame seems to 
have a  little notch in it so you can get directly to this bolt. Is this 6mm 
allen  bolt the drain plug.
