Jetta TDI (also list etiquette)

Geraint, I don't know where you live, but I wish I could have what
you've had. I'm in the US, and in the market for a used TDI wagon,
'01-'05, to replace my '01 S4 Avant tipper. My first choice would be a
Passat manual, second would be a Jetta manual. I've never heard of a
TDI DSG, but from what I've heard about DSG, that might be the cream of
the crop. In a dream, it would be a Passat TDI 6speed or DSG with
4motion. Right.

Problem is, Passat TDI wagons are very, very rare, and I've never seen
one with a manual. Jettas TDI 5 speeds are very rare but do exist, but
are oh so small and look so boring! You must live in car availability
heaven!

I gave in when I bought the S4a tiptronic, and automatics do make me
break into a cold sweat. It's an awesome car, and I was debating on
whether to buy it or a cherry '95.5 S6 avant at the time. Regretted not
going with the S6, mostly because of the slushbox!

<<I had a go in one for a couple of days last winter (TDI DSG salon)...
Had a tdi manual passat wagon from 01 to 05 and loved that...>>

Etiquette content...is this the format that is preferred?
