Bottom posting is more "correct". Been that way for years. The problem is:
most readers do not jump to the end, so effectively, the top becomes the
bottom (where replies appear). I believe it was Outlook that began focusing
the top of the message and inserting replies there. Bottom posting is much
more correct, but with today's software, is not the default, sadly. So, top
posting has become the de facto standard/default in almost all email products.
