According to Road and Track, they are 50 state certifying the TDI for both
the Jetta and Passat. Don't remember whether or not the manual will be
offered, but it appears for ANY of the 4 pot motors, that DSG will rule the
day. No more pathetic Tiptronic slushies. Hard to remember all that I've
read in the "reading room", but that's about the only time I've had lately
to sit down and read...
