flashing brake light

Patient: 1986 Turbo Quattro type 44, 300,000 km

My red triangle warning light was blinking and sounding, I added DOT 4 brake
fluid, the problem seemed to have been solved. When it is wet outside the
blinking comes on again, but less often after brake fluid added. The sensor
cables to the brake pad wear sensors have been cut.

When my brake light started flashing, it was almost always due to a
slightly low fluid level in the reservoir. Cornering or sloshing would
make the light flicker.
